Our Practice

Experience

  

Admitted to the roll of Solicitors of the Supreme Court of England and Wales in 2001. Practice areas in the UK were general civil litigation. Cases included, commercial, property, will, boundary and commercial disputes, personal injury, medical malpractice and insurance law

 
Admitted to the California Bar in 2015, receiving a Masters in Law with a concentration in intellectual property from USD in 2013. Practice in California includes general civil litigation in similar areas as above. Additionally, representing athletes with contract advice, negotiations and protecting intellectual property rights.

 
Volunteer memberships of national sports association board of directors. Previously athlete representative on the USA Field Hockey board of directors. 

 
Currently member of board of the Men's Foundation managing a grant from the USOC.


Member of LA2028 Committee for USA Field Hockey to grow participation in California


About JJ Wellings

  

JJ Wellings received his law degree in the UK and was admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales in 2001.  

 
An opportunity in 2007 to become a professional athlete led to a sabbatical until 2012. As a professional athlete with a legal background it helped seed an interest in helping athletes with their legal issues. He has represented the interests of a number of world champion and Olympic track and field athletes.


Upon retirement from top level competition a masters in law followed with a focus on intellectual property. Ultimately being admitted to the California Bar in 2015
